This section started in 2022. We have selected our most promising gymnasts to train 22 hours per week. They are training on advanced skills and are working towards competing in the Scottish Championships.
The 4-Piece Competitive Squad is the advanced section of the Club. These girls compete on all 4 pieces (Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor). Gymnasts train for between 12 and 18 hours per week.
The Development group is for gymnasts between 6 and 8 years who have shown potential to progress to the main Competitive Group. They train on all 4 pieces. Development gymnasts train for 7 hours per week.
The Club Development group is for gymnasts between 5 and 7 years of age who have shown potential to progress to the 4-Piece or Floor and Vault Competitive Group. They train on all 4 pieces and train for 4.5 hours per week.
The Floor and Vault Squad is a competitive squad for gymnasts who will compete on a regular basis for the Club on 2 pieces – Floor and Vault. This is a mixed group including both girls and boys. They train 4.5 hours per week.
Gymnasts who are advancing quickly in recreational classes will be invited to join the Intermediate Recreational group to advance their skills. This is part of our pathway into one of our competitive squads. They train 1.5 hours each week.
Our Reccy4All Group is open to all children regardless of experience. These groups give a basic introduction and progression across the 4 gymnastics elements. We have an awards scheme that they work towards throughout the year and are given the opportunity to compete at in-house competitions.
Limitless is a dance and fitness programme run by the Club for former gymnasts who wish to maintain their floor skills and also develop dance routines. Combining gymnastics skills with choreography, Limitless gives the opportunity for ex-gymnasts to maintain and develop their gymnastics floor skills and tumbling whilst putting together formal routines to showcase at club and community events.
Our Advanced Pre-School is a new class for those in pre-school classes aged 3+ who are showing the ability to advance their skills on all 4 pieces. This will include a more structured training session and progress to more challenging skills.
Our Pre-School classes are fun gymnastics sessions for the under 5s designed to promote spatial awareness and balance whilst beginning to develop the basics of gymnastics movement.
Fun4Baby sessions aim to provide a framework for baby’s natural physical and psychological development up to 14 months old. Fun4Baby sessions are for parents and babies who have completed their 6-8-week paediatric assessment.
We started a new MAG section in 2022, where we have Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sections training weekly. We hope 2023 will see more development within this section and Reccy4All throughout the year.
Thank you for contacting us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
